Thailand 2026

This school holidays we went to Bangkok and Chiang Rai - two places I'd never been to before. Bangkok had just had loads of floods so we were lucky to miss them. We had an excellent boat tour, visited some temples, went to the mall and generally had a really good time.

Then we went off to Chiang Rai which is right on the border of Laos and Myanmar it was really nice. The weather was perfect and there was 16 elephants at the hotel, all rescued. For one night we stayed in a bubble tent that was right next to the elephants and we got to see an elephant laying down on its side which apparently is rare.
